Yes, our stem separation service will remove vocals from the rest of your song. However, we recommend using our dedicated vocal remover tool instead. This page you're on is for stem splitting in general. It can be helpful to target the specific separation type that you need, to save time on recombining the individual instrument tracks.
It depends on whether you own the rights to that song. To legally make a copy of other people's music, you need to first obtain a license. This applies to any stem splitter you find on the internet. That being said, if you're not using the track commercially and the copy is for personal use only, it's unlikely that the rights holders will ever press charges.
We do not currently support the option to upload a video and extract the music layer.

Standalone DAWs like Logic Pro 11 also offer stem splitting but they lack the accessibility of our multi-user browser DAW.
