TERMS OF SERVICE

Last updated: July 6, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sesh ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Sesh is a collaborative digital audio workstation (DAW) that allows users to create, edit, and share music in real-time with others. The Service includes web-based music production tools, cloud storage, and collaboration features.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create using the Service. By using Sesh, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

You agree not to upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights, contains illegal material, or violates any applicable laws.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Use the Service to distribute malware or harmful content

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Refunds are provided at our discretion and in accordance with applicable law.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Sesh and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms, including but not limited to spam, abuse, illegal content, or non-payment. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

You may also request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Account deletion is immediate and irreversible.

What happens when an account is deleted:

  • Projects you own will be permanently deleted, including for any collaborators on those projects. Collaborators will lose access to those projects.
  • Projects where you are a collaborator (but not the owner) will remain with the project owner. You will be removed as a collaborator.
  • Your chat messages in collaborative projects will be retained but anonymized — your identity will be removed and messages will be attributed to "Deleted User" to preserve conversation context for other users.
  • Samples you uploaded that are used in other users' projects will be retained to prevent disruption to their work. Samples uniquely associated with your account and not used by others will be deleted.
  • Your account data (email, username, profile, sessions) will be permanently deleted.

Certain information may be retained after account deletion as required by law, including financial transaction records, records related to disputes, and information necessary for fraud prevention and security.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sesh shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
